How to set up a playlist on amazon music

(Pocket-lint) - Amazon's smart home speakers - or Echos - can be used for all manner of things. You simply use your voice to make requests, whether that's the weather, time, adjust smart home devices, or playing music. And that's just the basics.

One quite useful feature is the ability to create your own custom playlists in Amazon Music. You can do this with just voice commands.

How to create and edit playlists with Alexa

It's easy. Simply say, "Alexa, create a new playlist" or, you can say something like, "Alexa, create a 'Road Trip' playlist" or "Alexa, create a 'Morning Smoothies' playlist" or "Alexa, create a 'Super Sleep' playlist".

To add songs to a specific playlist, all you need to do is say "Alexa, add [Song Name by Artist Name] to my [Playlist Name] playlist". And then it'll add it. So, if you wanted to add 'Sweet Caroline' by Neil Diamond to your 'Road Trip' playlist you'd say "Alexa, add Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond to my Road Trip playlist", and it will be added.

If you're listening to a song on Amazon Music, you can even say, "Alexa, add this song to my playlist".

Note: If you prefer to create playlists the manual way, you can always do so through Amazon Music for Web or the Amazon Music apps for desktop, iOS, Android, and Fire tablet. This works in the same way making playlists on any music streaming app works. Just download the Amazon Music app, sign in, and start creating.
