How to set up voicemail on orbic journey v

Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2022

First of all, I received this phone from TracFone, not Amazon; but I feel it's my moral duty to forewarn people about what they'll encounter if they get this phone, regardless of vendor.
Following is a brief summary of problems experienced:
1. Software incredibly obtuse difficult to figure out; missing elements, and NO HELP FILE on phone!
2. Messages: It mixes up INcoming and OUTgoing messages; no way to separate them. It treats messages as "threads" instead of individual messages, so there's no way to know what all will be deleted, if you just want to delete ONE message!
3. Voicemail: Incredibly infuriating! *DO NOT SET UP VM!* If I'd known in setting up a test VM that I could never get rid of this crummy Voicemail option, I never would have made a test outgoing greeting! Even though I spent hours on the phone with TF "Tech Support" and two different people SWORE they had cancelled the VM option and deleted any Outgoing greetings, they LIED! There is apparently NO WAY TO GET RID OF THE VOICEMAIL OR DELETE OUTGOING GREETINGS! Further, their system keeps sending you a Voicemail alert/icon, but when you call to retrieve/delete, nothing changes! As soon as you turn phone back on, that same VM alert is onscreen, waiting for you to call VM! I've called 24 times to get rid of that
stuff, and it's still actively annoying me every time I turn on the phone! Further, there is NO Voicemail message!! So you can't turn off VM, delete PHANTOM VM, or shut off the annoying alerts! Sheesh!
4. On CONTACTS list, there is NO WAY to enter a NUMBER that occurs in an EMAIL address!! If a contact's email contains a ZERO, too bad; no way to ever email them from this phone.
5. There is no option for turning on NUMBERS for text entry!???
6. People still on 3G who are waiting for an upgrade phone are not receiving any messages/calls or able to send.
7. Battery is quickly eaten up; airplane mode doesn't seem to affect how soon battery drains.
8. There's no indication whether this present version of the software is the latest or if some sort of upgrade will improve the functioning. Probably safer not to risk it, once you get anything working right! ?
9. Then there's the AUDIBILITY problem: Can't hear when talking to someone on the phone, but THEY complain that it is painfully LOUD on their end!
10. The CAMERA is on upper-right back of phone so lens gets dirty & scratched; there's no flash; photo quality mediocre.
11. I bought this as a NON-INTERNET FLIP PHONE to avoid so much snooping (espec. by google). The browser goes straight to google search, so no idea how much snooping it does.
12. The reason I chose: It has a USB cable connection so you can hook into your computer and transfer pix, music, etc. I had to manually enter all my Contacts as there's no way I'd store such private info online/in cloud.
13. It does play music and via ear phones sounds good, but via built-in speakers, the sound is awful; must be maxxed out to even hear it.

There's probably more annoyances I haven't yet encountered, having only had this phone 3-4 days; but this is the worst phone I've ever used. But after such a nightmare, am too exhausted at present to try a different phone and restart the horrors! All in all, I'd suggest people invest in some other phone. This one is not ready for 'prime time'!
