The Oil Change Light Reset Cadillac ATS 2018 will need to be performed after every oil change. If it is not reset the system will be unable to properly track when your next oil change is due.

Below is the procedure for the 2018 Cadillac ATS. Follow the steps below to reset the oil life monitor after each oil change.

Oil Change Light Reset Cadillac ATS 2018 Procedure

1. Using the DIC controls on the right side of the steering wheel, display REMAINING OIL LIFE on the driver information center (DIC).
2. Press SEL (check mark icon on some systems) on the DIC controls and hold down for a few seconds to clear the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message and reset the oil life at 100%.

OR

1. Turn the ignition key to RUN with the engine off.
2. Fully press the release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. Several beeps sound. This confirms the oil life system has been reset.
3. If the CHANGE/OIL message comes back on when you start the engine, the engine oil life system has not been reset. Repeat the procedure.

STEP 1

• Close all doors, gear to park position.

STEP 2

• Turn the ignition on. Don’t start the engine.

STEP 3

• Scroll down to navigate the OIL LIFE.

• While OIL LIFE is displayed. Press and hold the OK button to reset the OIL LIFE to 100%.

The system is reset when the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message is off.

If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message comes back on when the vehicle is started, the engine oil life system has not been reset. Repeat the procedure.

About Cadillac CT4

The Cadillac CT4 is a compact executive sedan marketed by Cadillac since 2019. It replaced the Cadillac ATS, and it was unveiled twice: the CT4-V on May 30, 2019, and the standard CT4 four months later. Cadillac will assemble the CT4 at the Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan.
