I purchased the BEM locking fuel caps from Genos for the Diesel and DEF. I had the BEM caps on my '14 and really liked them.
For my '21, the DEF cap fits great; no issues.

The diesel cap is not so great. The filler nozzle has the same 3 small internal tabs, so the cap lines up, but the tab that slides under a portion of the filler neck to secure it doesn't fit well at all.
In fact, I can only get it about 1/3 of the way over the tab. Technically it's locked in this position, but it's a pain to install and remove.

Anyone else have a cap for a '21 yet?
Or, similar experience on a '19 or '20?

I wouldn't think the neck changed in '21. Perhaps it's related to the CP3 change

You try backing the screw out more?

You bought this one: GG-EZ45GLC?

Yes, but the issue is the cap needs to be inserted more for the tab to rotate beneath the neck flange. Backing the screw out more doesn't do this.

Yes:

Contacted BEM and they had a couple helpful suggestions, but were unaware of any issues.
Still no-good. I'm able to get it to functionally lock, but it's WAY too tight and takes a gorilla to remove if one gets it too tight.

I'd be curious if anyone else with a '21 diesel has these caps.

Fuel must be expensive where y’all live. Ain’t nobody stealing fuel here

Not worried about it getting sucked out. Worried about something getting put in (sugar, sand, etc.)

Not a paranoia, but $50 that makes me sleep better at night.

I have the fuel and def EZ locks from Geno's Garage and they work fine, the first time I struggled some with the fuel cap, however afterwards it was fine. I have a '21 model 6.7.

My locking cap from Genoes works great. Just play with it a tad not hard at all.

Thanks gents,

I'll look at it a bit more tomorrow. I'm pretty sure there's something odd going on with my filler neck. Maybe even just a plastic molding issue with the flange.

There's definitely something wrong.

No, but I've seen it happen to others. Whether someone felt it was justified or not is irrelevant.

But I do appreciate your constructive comments.

This is the same main reason I bought one . This is the main reason they call them locking gas caps.

Shhhhhh..... That and the girlfriend comment made my day (it's early yet though)!

It's more the fact that it's an environmental destruction device, blue-line flag, NRA and military emblems that would be cause for tampering, especially in the NY capitol region! I may not even put them on my new truck.
I like to think better of people, but I don't see the political climate improving in the near future

And that's why we're leaving Colorado for Montana.

Hate to say it but I'm in the same boat. Spent 26 years active duty army and won't put any graphics on the truck. Pro Paratrooper, Pro second amendment, Pro life, Pro bible, back the blue, Pro Trump, MAGA. Any of those will get your vehicle key'd at the least, possibly burned to the ground. But as long as it insured.........

Same experience here. First time was difficult but once it was on once it goes on and off with no problem and works great!

So I spent some time with it this evening. Sounds a bit ridiculous for a fuel cap!

I wound up taking .022" off from the top of the insert piece, allowing the green cap to sit a bit lower. This gave it the clearance needed. It's still a bit snug, but WAY better. At least it can be used. Unfortunately it's no longer a nice looking anodized piece.
