This video shows you how to add transmission fluid to your 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. Before adding transmission fluid, make sure that your engine was running when you checked the fluid level. If the transmission fluid level on your Town and Country is low, you need to add fluid through the dipstick tube. Chrysler has been developed sophisticated transmissions through years and it is critical that you add the exact type of transmission fluid stipulated by your owner's manual (typically in the back of the manual in a section titled Fluid Capacities.) When adding transmission fluid to your Town and Country, be sure to add it slowly as the transmission fluid capacity is reached quickly and it is difficult to remove excess fluid if you overfill. If you are having problems with the transmission in your Town and Country, such as clunky shifting or hesitation, check the fluid level first - it is amazing how many drivers pay thousands of dollars for transmission work when a half quart of transmission fluid would have fixed the problem.

The service fill for the 62TE, trans pan drop and refill, is around 5.5 qts. The total capacity of the 62TE is 9 qts. 03-10-2022, 08:54 AMJoin Date: Aug 2012 Location: Bolton, UK Posts: 878 You must have the engine running to measure the transmission fluid. 03-10-2022, 09:23 AMJunior Member Thread Starter Join Date: Mar 2022 Posts: 7 The van is running in neutral, level and I am using i dip stick to measure by mm and temp per factory guild lines. I have no leaks and don't now cause I blew the line at 70 miles per hour if that pushed out more fluid than it should have. 03-10-2022, 09:25 AM

I'll keep everyone up to date on how much it takes 03-10-2022, 10:24 AMJoin Date: Aug 2012 Location: Bolton, UK Posts: 878 Quote: Originally Posted by Scottel The van is running in neutral, level and I am using i dip stick to measure by mm and temp per factory guild lines.
