MOST USELESS VAC IVE EVER PURCHASED

Used on tiles and carpet. ABSOLUTELY USELESS. Just pushes debris ahead instead of picking up. If you try to pick it up to put it over the debris it still won’t pick up or if u pick up in the wrong place the dust chamber comes off in your hands creating EVEN MORE MESS

Does about 40% of the job.

Okay but not great. Brushes pick up larger things but leave dust behind. Suction ordinary. Floors don't feel clean to walk on. Need to vacuum with a conventional cleaner to to get a proper clean. Battery doesn't last long enough to clean the whole house. Don't bother using it anymore.

Battery charging

I had trouble with the battery charging but found that if you take the little charger thing out of the plastic wall mount, you can see the flashing light on the underneath. Once charged, the vacuum worked fine.

I vacuum everyday and this does a great job on my carpets. Four stars as it doesn’t get into the corners very good.

I use this on both carpets and tiles, it does a great job on the carpet and an ok job on the tiles, it just doesn’t pick up heavy particles.

You had 1 job and you failed

The whole point of a vacuum cleaner is to suck up debris/hair/glass/cat litter/lint etc. This vacuum cleaner does not do that very well at all. When you turn it off stuff falls out. I have to go over everything with a dust pan and brush or hold it over the bin before turning off. I've had cheap $50 vacuum cleaners with better suction. Honestly i'm surprised to see reviews saying the suction is good - it really is not. It's been bad since day one. What is more disappointing then this vacuum cleaner is that putting up this review does not change the reality that I'm stuck with this vacuum cleaner. Seriously if i sold it to someone they would ask for their money back.

Wanted to love it.

Most annoying vaccum cleaner I've owned. The suction is quite good but! The head clogs super easy. Forever pulling it apart too unclog fluff build up. The clip extensions are super hard to pull apart. The barrel is horrid to put back on but will fall off with the slightest bump on furniture or whatever while vaccuming. Leaves a huge mess all over the freshly cleaned floors. The head is quite bulky which makes it hard to get up close to beaches etc. It kinda of just pushes dirt into the corners. The charging unit could also do with indicative lights. It has none so you can't tell if the battery is fully charged or not. Its quite loud too. Glad I didn't spend an absolute fortune on it.

Save your time and money, DO NOT BUY, does not last long.

Started off good, a bit loud, but still worked. Close to 2 months of using, it stopped working properly. I took good care of it. Only using to clean the house (general household dirt). Emptied after each clean. Properly charged.
Vacuum strength weakens and a lot of dirt starts to spit out. My carpets are so filthy now because the vacuum now makes it worse. So disappointed.
No manual provided. I can’t find one online either. I will have to return to the store when shops reopen after lockdown.

The vacuum business is such a hustle here in Australia smh
I have spent so much money on all different vacuums.

NOT Impressed

I was very disappointed with this machine. Spits out dust etc when starting up again after emptying canister. Also should include all the accessories seen in user manual. Not happy

Do Not Buy

Absolutely hopeless! Doesn’t pick anything up off hard floors or carpet, virtually no suction no matter what. I was going to keep it to vacuum up my outside area, but couldn’t even vacuum up flower petals. It will be going to landfill coz I don’t have the heart to sell this heap of crap to another person. DO NOT BUY!

Good Stick Vac

Am happy with this machine and is good for a large apartment. Works well on low speed setting for floating and hard floors and number two speed for carpet. Happy how it cleans carpet. Find it a bit heavy after a while of vacuum cleaning. Battery life is really good, better than most others for this price and you can buy a larger size battery as an optional extra. Found if you don't turn the winder on top of filter after every use before emptying the canister or clean the filter out with water every month as it tells you to, it will spit stuff o...

Read moreut everywhere and not suck properly as other reviews have noted, it's easy to clean and is the same as with all the other expensive ones, if you do that you will not have problems. It's amazing the filth and dust that it traps in the filter. The electric head is not good at getting up to edges as other reviews note, though if you just go around the other way it picks the stuff up usually or use the nozzle to do that. The attachments that are not included though are shown in the manual, as well as new filters are available to buy separately if you ring Black & Decker parts department and they can send to you or through Bunnings, though you must go through the Bunnings store trade desk and they order them in for you. Notice Big W now sell the upper model of this machine with all the attachments now which has purple/pink wand. Overall happy with the machine and does the job. Please note: read the manual carefully and follow the instructions otherwise you will have problems as others have noted.

Lasted just under 2 months

Lasted just under 2 months uncontactable service department (at what so ever).
Could not return it to BigW due to restrictions BUT they are more than happy to sell with click and collect (with restrictions) ironic enough.
Ended up buying a $45 VAC from Kmart which works 10 times better that this $200 so called vacuum cleaner.

The worst vacuum I’ve ever used- does not suck anything up

Literally the worst vacuum I’ve ever come across. It doesn’t suck anything up, simple spreads everything around and shoots things out while on. Then once you turn it off everything comes out. these reviews have to be fake, surely!!

Questions & Answers

Johnasked 4 months ago

Just purchased a BHFEV182C and read the instruction manual. Charging the battery, it talks about the green light indicating when fully charged, ie. green light will stop flashing when fully charged. Problem is there is NO light at all (green or otherwise). What am I missing? There is nothing on the battery or charger unit or holder that could be a light.

6 answers

I looked up this site with the same question. I went nuts searching for the green light. It doesn’t exit on this charger I looked up the model online. Initial charge required is 6-8 hours … the poor...

Read more informative manual had no info on that either ??? Bunnings has a charging station for this battery that does have the green indicator lights but I couldn’t tell if it is suitable to wall mount the vacuum or not

The wall support actually holds the charger in it, you can pull the charger piece out and you will see the green lights on the charger.

Re answer from Mandii H. Yes, the wall support does hold the charger, but there is no green light or any light anywhere on my product. Perhaps we are talking about a different model.

How do u clear out lint and some dog hair that plugs it up near the vaccum head? Is there someway to clear it out without taking off the brush head?

No light on battery so how long dies it need to recharge fully.

Why does my Black and Decker lithium vacuum keeps shutting off?

Vacuums use a powerful motor to suck up dust and dirt from the carpet, floor, or other surfaces. So, if your vacuum keeps shutting off it could be because the motor is overheating and needs time to cool down. The reason a motor in a vacuum overheats is because it is clogged with dust and debris.

Why is my Black Decker vacuum not working?

Vacuum won't turn on Make sure the battery is fully charged, with the vacuum turned off while charging. After many cycles of use or after intense wear, the battery may lose charge over time or wont function at all. Contact Black and Decker for warranty coverage or replace the battery(!!!
