Clearing the light also made the red blinking security light on radio work for the first time since I had the car. Administrator Hey! Look At Me!! I'm a Supporting Member!! Re: Airbag light on? [solved] lol you lucked out. There's a procedure of how to read SRS codes. I know I updated it at some point. It'd be worth having in your troubleshooting arsenal edit: here's a link for my post about reading SRS codes The following users liked this post: Click Here

Searching produced this vid that describes how the little pin inside the buckle doesn't work properly anymore, probably because of dirt and grime. I followed the vid to open the buckle with a T10. Front and back of case have to come off. The little red "boot" that surrounds the pin prevents (so the vid says) contact cleaner from getting in. I really didn't want to destroy that boot so manipulated the pin WHILE spraying cleaner. Many many times. Then I did the paper clip trick to reset the light. Started the car and poof--light stays off. Now, I just did that so I don't know: I might have to go in again and this time, remove that boot. Time will tell. This vid is exactly how I did the (temporary?) fix.

[solved] Mine worked for about 4 years until the light came back on for the passenger side deflator failure, causing the code to permanently return. Cant say for certain if 9-3 ever came back or not because I never fixed the deflator.
