Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product! This product needs to be pulled from the market! Spent hours and hours prepping the driveway and applying this product. Dried all streaky and dark…..just like the pics in another persons review. Called the company, was told to use a specific degreaser and afterwards, the concrete would still have protection…WRONG!! It removed very little and the protection is gone. Now we are trying different degreasers….more money spent and more time and energy to remove this product. We have used other Thompsons in years past with good results but will NEVER use their junk again. Be warned….DO NOT use!!! Since the pavers are very porous, I applied a generous coat of sealer and rolled and back rolled. The following morning the product seemed to have worked as expected. Later in the day, as the temperature warmed and the sun hit the pavers, the surface became sticky. Mfr. recommends scrubbing surface with dish soap or degreaser - neither worked, which was not surprising since contrary to product data, soap and water does not clean tools, brushes, rollers. I applied as instructed and it streaked and turned vey dark. Not clear at all. I used a degreaser and power washer to try to remove it but no luck. What can I do to fix this horrible situation? Directions were followed and we didn't jump into this without reading how to best apply the product. Over the course of about a week My husband powerwashed the entire garage, filled and caulked the cracks, and applied the sealer. It is nearly a month later and our garage floor is STILL tacky to the touch. We have tried scrubbing with a solvent based degreaser, mineral spirits, and dawn dish soap AND powerwashing after each attempt (throughout the last month) to get rid of the tackiness. NO LUCK! We still have a 5 gallon bucket unopened that we will be returning. Now to figure out if we can epoxy over this mess to correct the issue or if we need to use paint thinner to try to remove it. Didn't go on very easy with sprayer, very thick and milky even after shaking well. Thought would dry clear but it definitely didn't! Portion of the driveway I did has a wet look to it and is totally different color than rest of the driveway. Very disappointed. Now have to figure out how to make driveway all the same color. I applied the sealer and after it soaked in I just rolled or brushed it kinda dry and it worked great. As long as you don’t leave any puddles it works great and does a good job sealing. Temps were in the 60s during the day, 40s at night, sunny and breezy. Still tacky after 2.5 days. Rained today and now have white milky drips and patches everywhere.
