Thank you letter for medical assistant after interview

Everything is done and you are happy with how things went. Even the interview was far better than what you expected it to be.

Now, what do you do?

Wait for the next interview call or one that says welcome onboard?

You do not wait – do something proactive. Write a thank you letter.

Actually, a medical office assistant thank you letter can be written in several situations including the time when you have been offered a job.

But mostly, thank you letters are used as a means of communicating with a prospective employer once more.

Seemingly, you are thanking the person who interviewed you for his time and effort but in actuality, you are also attempting to connect with him once more so that you can reiterate both your interest and eligibility for the job.

So what goes into a thank you letter?

Think of it as part thank you and part cover letter. Since you will once again concentrate on how well-suited you are for the job, you will actually be writing a part cover letter.

But make sure that you do not go into too much detail as you did in your original cover letter. The employer already has that information and you do not want to put him off by saying the same thing over and over again.

Let us go through a sample thank you letter written by an MOA (medical office assistant) after an interview:

Mr. Jacob Collins
Hiring Manager
United Health Group
1937 Holiday Road
Danville, KY 40225

Dear Mr. Collins:

I would like to thank you for interviewing me for the position of medical office assistant at United Health Group. Meeting with you, your staff members and have the chance to learn more about the details of the position, has strengthened my resolve to work for your facility.

As a qualified front office professional, with 5 years of experience working in a medical setting, I believe that I will not only outperform the job but will excel at it. During the interview, I mentioned that I was twice commended on the initiative I took to implement a patient records system that reduced data retrieval time by 56%. I am attaching copies of the two letters of appreciation that I received from my previous employer.

I anticipate meeting with you again for a second interview soon where I can build up on my qualifications further. Once again, I appreciate the time and effort you put into the detailed interview yesterday.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
William Fields
