I bought this mattress in a pinch with the assumption I could return it worst case. Laid on it in the store for a while - was happy with how firm/supportive it was. 3 months in and my lower back hurts every morning and there is a very noticeable difference between laying in the middle of the bed and my side of the bed. I’m guessing the low density foam gave up and gave up quick. I also only weigh 165lb and sleep on my back.
Spending some serious money at a local retailer and moving on to a therapedic hd mattress now.
Have you looked at the FAQ? Thats generally the best place to start. And I’m not generally in the habit of recommending mattresses online, because everyone’s experience with softness and pressure is so personal.
But I’ll try to help here if I can because that’s a difficult price point to work with. And if you twisted my arm, I’d probably point you to the BRS900-C series in medium or plush. That said, their medium is quite firm. These use most of the same foams as Beautyrests upper end lines, and a stiff, but serviceable pocketed coil. Their foam quality is just slightly better than Sealy’s, and they are quite cheap right now (likely because they made most of the lineup slightly too firm). Otherwise my advice is to take a look at the FAQ and shop around paying particular attention to foam densities and quality.
