I love Tyler Perry's movies. He introduced to me the life of black people... the sad moments, the success stories, the betrayal, the discipline of kids, etc... if I really think about it, asides from the history of Black Americans, the family dynamic, relationships, work... all are very similar regardless of the color of your skin. What I love about this movie is the friendship of a wealthy, generous, caring and skin-colorblind white lady and a hardworking black lady who runs a diner to care for her family. I also love the way this black lady cares for this homeless white man who lost his job, wife and kids. When someone treats you well, return the kindness is the greatest gift of all - which is a lesson of this lady with the diner taught her daughter. It captured that people are people, regardless of the color of our skin. Life is about give and take, and don't judge someone for you might perceive of them until you know the story behind that person. We can all build beautiful, trusting, and caring and loving relationship regardless of skin color and culture. In order for any relationship to work, it takes both parties to equally invest into the relationship with an open heart. This movie also captures success requires hard work and the support of your love ones. Yes, sometimes there are challenges to get kick-started, but persistent, hard work and having integrity, it is possible and this is what is great about this country, American has so many opportunities. Sometimes it seems impossible, but being determined and believing in yourself will help a lot. Being extremely wealthy is great, but the best part of being wealthy is being able to help others and to share the wealth. I have watched many Tyler Perry's movies. Madea series are my favorite because I love how Madea doesn't hesitate in disciplining the kids who would turn out to be good and successful adults. This is the most important part of parenting that seems to be lacking in the younger generations today. Of all of Perry's movies, this movie is by far my favorite. It captures so much love between a beautiful friendship of 2 people of different class and race. Anyone who has a friendship like the one captured in this movie is SO blessed. I hope one day, I'll have one like this one.

I was hesitant about watching this movie because I'm not too fond of Tyler Perry's movies; however, I definitely love Colored Girls. What this movie does well is dissected a ton of intertwining relationship dynamics from marriage to friendship. Great dialogue, and I love Kathy Bates. It keeps you wondering until the end, and tons of bombshells are revealed.

THE FAMILY THAT PREYS I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF REVIEWS

When I reoneceived the DVD I was so excited, I put it on immediately and starting watching. It ran for about 15 minute
and suddenly it started going slow motion and stopping altogether. I took it out and started it again, the same thing
happened. I was going to return it. My husband passed away on July29th and I was going through some of his
belongings and came across a small bottle with clear liguid in it. I read on the back of the bottle that this was
a solution to clean CD's and DVD's so I tried it on The Family that Preys . I cleaned it real well and put it back
in the machine, IT WORKED. I tried to get in touch with Amazon to tell them I would keep it, in the meantime, Ireceived
the new one that Amazon sent me. I decided to give the first copy to my friend, that loved it. Since then I have tried
from time to time to let you know that it would be okay to bill me for the one you sent but could never get in touch
to talk to anyone.. Bottom line, PLEASE GO AHEAD AND BILL ME FOR THE DVD. I have looked at this movie
at least 5 or 6 times since I had it. That was really a good, good, movie. Cudos to Tyler Perry. Also, I have looked at
I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF. Another WINNER, The music, acting and everything about that movie is excellent.

That's my story and I am sticking to it. (LOL).

Kathy Bates RULED this movie

Heartwarming, heartbreaking and downright hilarious. I’ll admit, I have never been a fan of Tyler Perry (just not my cup of tea), but The Family That Preys is by far among the most memorable of his films that I’ve seen. I greatly enjoyed it when it first came out and because my hubby loves it even more than I do, I decided to gift him with the DVD (he literally watches it once a week). Not to mention, I am a huge fan of Kathy Bates so having her to star in this film alongside the equally amazing Alfre Woodard was like money in the bank for me.
