  • How much you can earn.

Let’s get to them.

What Is A No-Experience-Remote-Job ?

A remote jobs that doesn’t require experience is one where…

…you don’t have any work experience in the job,

…you may not have any skills specific to the job,

…the job is great for beginners,

…a degree isn’t always necessary,

…the job is usually easy to get,

…you are paid quickly – often weekly or per project

And here’s something else worth considering: remote jobs that don’t require experience are not the same as entry-level jobs. No experience means no experience and often are low paying. Entry level means you have some knowledge in the job and you’re starting out at the bottom.

Here are some awesome remote jobs that don’t require experience and offer decent pay:

  2. Specialized Graphic Designer/Image Creator
  3. Researcher
  4. Transcriber – General to Legal

  8. Social Media Specialist
  9. Content Specialist
  10. Customer Service Specialist (phone, chat, email)

#1  Social Content Jobs

A specialized branch of Marketing, social content jobs are a booming career these days.  The main responsibility you’ll have is monitoring the online channels of companies of all sizes.

For no-experience social content jobs, check out ICUC, 99 Dollar Social, The Social Element and Mod Squad.  They are three well-known companies with entry level remote jobs cleaning up their client’s online presence and acting as brand advocates.

The companies I just mentioned have legitimate remote jobs that pay weekly, but...the pay is only $12.00 and hour.

Not quite the average pay of $43,000.00 a year to monitor social content.

So this is what you can do:

After you’ve worked for one of the entry level companies I mentioned, check out the marketing jobs with Toptal, Aha!, Chargify, and Zapier.  These “remote first” companies often have marketing jobs that cover everything that’ll get the company growing.

#2 SPECIALIZED Graphic Designer / Image Creator

Forget about being a catch-all Graphic Designer…what you really want to do is be a SPECIALIZED Graphic Designer.  In other words, specialize in a specif design niche and reach those customers  Maybe it’s creating Pinterest Pins or infographics or feature images for blogs.

There’s a lot of need for Specialized Image Creators, especially among bloggers, because people scan blog posts.  In other words, the more eye-catching images a blog post has, the longer people stay and read, which is why bloggers pay for this kind of work.

To get started as a specialized graphic designer, you just need to know a few things:

  • Knowledge of photo editing programs like Canva (free), PIC Monkey (free), Photoshop.
  • Know where to source images, free and paid.
    • Pixabay (free)
    • Unsplash (free)

Learn Canva with this free online course.

You can find work with companies like Shutterstock but your best bet is to offer your Specialized Graphic Design / Image Creation service as a freelancer on Fiverr and Upwork.  You’ll be able to charge your own rates and have the flexibility you want.

And, speaking from experience, a lot of small business owners hire Image Creators through these platforms.

What you earn is whatever you charge.  Let’s take a look at a few examples:

These top-rated image creators specializes in logo design.  They charge what they think their customers will pay; one even charges $95.00 !

#3  Researcher

You don’t have to be an expert on a particular topic to be a Researcher – you just need to know HOW to research…and do it thoroughly.

Here are a few companies that pay people to do online research:

Wonder pays you to be a “human search engine”, which they call a Research Assistant, answering questions submitted by paying customers who don’t want to dig for the answers themself.

Study Pool is similar to Wonder, but your questions are from students who want a little help getting answers to their academic questions. Called Tutors, a Study Pool research simply provides answers.

it’s pretty simple to get started as a Researcher. Just go to either Wonder or Study Pool, create an account, perform the application test, and get accepted.

This is one of the easiest to do – and get – remote jobs that doesn’t require experience because you can learn as you go.  It’s also very flexible work you can do for a little while, gain experience, then really start to make decent money.

The work is simple:

  • You listen to an audio recording
  • Type-out the conversation
  • Have your work reviewed
  • Get paid

These companies hire transcribers with no previous experience:

–GMR Transcription

–Daily Transcription

–Go Transcript

–3Play Media

Here’s how to get started as a new general transcriber:

First, go through my guide on how to get started as a transcriber.

Then, if after a few months you still like doing transcription, consider doing legal transcription.  It’s a bit more involved, dealing with legal mumbo-jumbo associated with court, trials, and law enforcement, but the pay is a lot better.

Like over $35,000 a year better !

In fact, this comprehensive online course will help you kick start an awesome career as a legal transcriptionist.  Not only is this a popular transcription course, it has active resources to help you get a great job.

But if you’re not ready to take this course, you can check out these companies:

  • Speakwrite is a well-known company that hires legal transcribers.  However, they require some experience working in a law firm.
  • Net Transcripts hires transcribers to transcribe law enforcement documents.
  • Allegis transcription specializes in insurance and legal transcription services and has a steady amount of work.
  • Cambridge Transcriptions hires legal transcribers who have at least a year of legal transcription or court reporting experience.

#5 Blog Editor / Proofreader

This is one of the most in-demand online jobs out there today.

Why ?

Just about everyone who produces written content needs someone to look over their work. And if you’re familiar with some of the best content writing tools, your job just got easier. With more and more blogs being started every day, there are more opportunities than ever before making this one of the best ways to work online – from home – and get paid big bucks !

And the pay ? How does over $36,000 a year sound?

Scribe Writing, Proofreadingservices.com, Smart Brief, and Cactus Communications are four well-known companies that have a variety of proofreading and editing jobs. You can work anywhere and make decent money working on a variety of documents…

…as long as you can prove you have the chops.

And those “chops” DON’T include prior proofreading experience.  What you do need are a Bachelor’s degree (sometimes), command of the English language, and excellent writing skills

But if you don’t have a Bachelor’s degree and want to take advantage of the in-demand proofreading and editing opportunities for beginners out there, here are a few things I suggest:

#1, take a look at some of the quick little proofreading or editing gigs on MTurk (Amazon’s answer to crowdsourcing).  You should be able to pick up some experience – and a few bucks – pretty easily as long as you “qualify” (meet the qualifications set by MTurk) for the gig.

#2, offer your editing and proofreading skills on Upwork (an in-demand talent platform).   You’ll see a lot of small businesses and blog owners NEED people to edit and proofread their blog posts.

And if you want to invest a few bucks in yourself, take this top-rated online course to learn how to be an effective proofreader.  I think you’ll be glad you did.

#6 Travel Consultant

You don’t need a whole lot of experience in the travel industry to be a travel consultant.

What you DO need is a strong interest in travel planning.

And a niche.

Here are a few options to find work as a Travel Consultant:

If you know a lot about Kid-friendly vacations, check out

  • Love The Mouse Travel
  • Mickey’s Travel
  • Mouse Hunters Travel
  • My Mickey Vacation Travel.

Here are some of the best known, and possibly the most used, travel companies that frequently have remote travel planner openings:

AAA
American Express
BCD Travel
Carnival Cruise Line
Hilton Worldwide
Hotel Tonight
Vail Resorts
World Travel Holdings

What you earn as a Travel Consultant depends on the company you work for and how many hours you work.  But, on average, you can earn around $34,000.00 a year.

#7 Teach Conversational English Online (no degree needed)

Teaching a “foreign” language online to people around the world is a rewarding job for anyone who wants to set their own flexible schedule.

But this isn’t just teaching a foreign language.  This job is teaching conversation English, in other words, teaching someone whose language isn’t English to speak English in a relaxed conversational manner.

iTalki is one of the most popular language-learning platforms out there, with teachers setting their own rates and earning on average over $20.00 an hour

And, if you become one of their Community teachers, iTalki is one of the best legitimate online jobs that doesn’t require experience or a degree.

iTalki Quick Facts

  • They have over 3 million language learners
  • You’ll provide language lessons to anyone who thinks you have the chops to teach them
  • Teaching is done through Skype and are 1 on 1 lessons
  • You’re paid per lesson and you can accept/decline any lesson

Requirements To Become An iTalki Teacher

  • Fill out the application
  • Set up your profile

  • You’re then listed in the teacher portal
  • Get paid

There are 2 types of teachers: Professional, or Community based.

#1 Professional teachers typically make more money, potentially over $30.00 an hour, but you need professional teaching experience in a school, university, or language institute as well as a Bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate (i.e. CELTA or TESOL) from an accredited institution.

#2 Community teachers may earn a little less, around $20.00 an hour, but all you need is patience, understanding, and the desire to help others learn a new language.

Because this post is about NO EXPERIENCE JOBS, you’ll want to consider option #2

You can apply to teach on iTalki here.

A job in social media is quickly becoming the most sought-after opportunity out there.

In fact, I think it’s one of the easiest remote jobs you can get without prior experience.

There are Social Media Specialist jobs that don’t require previous experience and still pay pretty good.  But don’t expect to do more than just answer comments and messages or share interesting content. However, the more experience you gain, the more involved you’ll be in a brand’s social media strategy.

Your best bet for landing a Social Media Specialist job without a butt-load of experience is to freelance, and for that you can turn to Upwork.

The upsides to freelancing: you can set your rate; $30.00 an hour isn’t unheard of. And, it’s also a great freelance job for beginners.

The downside: competition, so you really have to stand out and offer some awesome skills.

#9 Content Specialist

Being a Content Specialist is much more than just writing articles for blogs and websites.

You create content that includes writing blog posts, sourcing videos and images to be used in blog posts, scheduling publishing dates of articles and even creating social media updates.

Plus, the average salary is over $48,000.00 !

Remote jobs for someone with no experience

Where can you find a Content Specialist job ?

The Search Guru and Uscreen often have entry level Content Specialist jobs and ProBlogger and Blogging Pro are two great job boards that are updated daily with new job leads.

Then, once you have a bit of experience, these companies frequently hire Content Specialists:

  • Aha!
  • InVision
  • Jungle Scout
  • The Search Guru

#10 Customer Service Specialist

Probably one of the most abundant remote jobs is customer service because every company – both online and offline – needs customers to buy their product or service.

And if you don’t have any experience doing customer service in a remote setting, don’t worry because a lot of companies will train you their way. Plus, many traditional jobs are customer service based therefore giving you some experience in dealing with people.

There are companies that hire Customer Service Reps. without experience that also pay you while you go through the training process.  You can also check out Nexrep, Accolade Support, Uhaul and Liveops.  All great considerations because you’ll gain valuable experience to take to your next remote job.  And these jobs are easy to get.

The bad news: They pay around $9.00 an hour.

BUT…

…if you stick with a customer service job with one of the companies I just mentioned, you’ll gain experience and be ready to get a job with more companies and start earning more than $9.00 an hour. At that point, you can check out companies like Automattic, Taxjar, Customer.io, Hotjar, and Recharge; they frequently have open remote customer service jobs that pay a LOT more than $9.00 an hour !
