  1. The Circuit Court for Calvert County, located in Prince Frederick, Maryland, is part of the Seventh Judicial Circuit, which also includes Charles, Prince George’s and Saint Mary’s Counties. It is a trial court of general jurisdiction, which handles juvenile and family law matters, as well as all major civil cases and serious criminal matters. The circuit court also has appellate jurisdiction over decisions of the district court and certain administrative agencies. In addition, it has full common law and equity powers and jurisdiction in all civil and criminal cases within the county, and all additional powers and jurisdiction conferred by the Constitution and by law, except where, by law, jurisdiction has been limited or conferred upon by another tribunal.

PACER allows anyone with an account to search and locate appellate, district, and bankruptcy court case and docket information. Register for a PACER account. Use the PACER Case Locator if you are not sure which specific federal court the case was filed.

Does Maryland Judiciary case Search show active warrants?

Under the Maryland Rules of Procedure, 16-1001 through 16-1011, the public is entitled to view most records held by the state. A Maryland judiciary case search should show outstanding warrants against you.

Are all court cases public record?

Court records are under the control of the judiciary and are not accessible under the Freedom of Information Act. Outside of the Freedom of Information Act, right of access to some court records is ordinarily reserved for parties concerned or their legal representatives.
