Show Overall card rating4.3 from Credit Karma members Most helpful positive reviewApple Card with poor creditCredit Karma Member So I was actually shocked, I applied expecting to be denied for sure. My credit score was only 524 at applying, I did it anyways because I heard Apple offered help with a path to Apple Card (basically advice on how to build credit) for people with poor credit. But to my surprise they ended up approving me, only a 250$ limit but I’ve never been approved for any credit card before so I was super excited! I do agree they are behind on reporting which kind of sucks, but even with that, I applied in July 2019 with credit score 524 and now in February 2021 I am at 690. So although I’m not jumping up there super fast, it is for sure impacting my credit score in a positive way! I’m super happy! And trying to get another card now to continue improving my score! Most helpful negative reviewNot for those looking to build/improve credit.Credit Karma Member This card is great for its incentives and lack of fees, it’s customer service is spot on and you can get ahold of them in under 5 minutes every time, even in the midst of this pandemic where every other card company I have has me waiting up to an hour. Several things to love about this card, the organization, the interface, and the easy breakdowns of your finances. However some things that I consider to be the more significant factors for any credit card, this card falls short of. Which is why I give two stars. For instance: This card only reports to Transunion, one bureau out of the major three, and they do NOT report on time. Which defeats the purpose. I got my apple card in January and it is now May. And apple has only reported my on time payments for January and February so far, all of my other card companies have already caught up on reporting for April. So not only is this card two months behind on reporting but it also ONLY reports to transunion as it is, so by the time they do catch up it will still make no significant impact to my score. It’s not like you can report this inaccurate reporting to the bureaus because by law none of your card companies are obligated to report anything at all. Companies choose on their own how serious they decide to take their reporting. Which is why I respect certain companies like Chase, Cap One, and Citi because they not only report to all three bureaus, but they do so without missing a beat on reporting. So your score is updated ON TIME and efficiently. This is not the case with the Apple card and Goldman Sachs. Maybe it’s because they’re new to the business which is why they are slow to keep up, but I can’t say that I accept that as a reasonable excuse for their poor reporting habits. If you want to “revolutionize” the card industry as Apple puts it, you have to at least have the decency to report peoples good payment behaviors on time, the same way you expect to receive your payments on time. This is why I say the most important things aren’t present currently with this card. If you are looking for a card that will help you build and improve your credit, you will not see good results with this card. Thought out application process. I recommended to apply and it’s a soft pull then when you get an approval letter its a hard pull but overall nice card!!! Credit Karma Member CK says I have fair change to get this card but their one problem.I already own this card and the raise my limit twice already .point is .CK is not always right so look out . Credit Karma Member They do not report to the credit bureaus very frequently Credit Karma Member I applied in June 2022! Was declined for who knows what reasons! Then I tried again mid August 2022 and got approved with 711 credit score and following CK recommendations and approval odds! I love ❤️ this credit card! Your rewards are calculated right away and shown on your wallet app, no need to wait a month to get them! Easy app to use and payments are posted right away and is available same date so overall don’t hesitate and give it a try!
Credit Karma Member They make this card sound like the greatest thing ever and they love to tell you how you will never be held liable for unauthorized charges. November 2021 I received a charge for nearly $1300 and it took until September 2022 and several calls of them giving me a temporary credit to finally find my dispute in my favor. This is after numerous calls and threat of legal litigation. I have asked for documentation so I can file police report, and they refused to give me anything. I’ve
been told several times somebody would reach out to me and talk to me and no one has. Stay away from this card. It is not worth the frustration. Credit Karma Member first, the cash back they offer is decent, but most other cards are catching up or have surpassed. Customer service from a functional point is awful. They wont tell you your account number, they automatically increase your credit line and credit limit decreases must be reviewed and take 7 days, there is no option for balance transfer from or to, and there are a few other quirks that are irritating that i cant remember. Save yourself the trouble and get a different card. Credit Karma Member I applied under an excellent approval odds on credit karma. Was denied for some really lame vague reasons. Don’t waste your time, Apple card application = trash. Credit Karma Member Barely any of your payment will go towards your principal. They will try to keep you paying as long as possible Then if you question them they try to talk around and give some baloney answer See Approval Odds before you applyWe’ll estimate your chances of approval based on your credit profile.
