In the middle of the night 80s song lyrics

In The Middle Of The Night Lyrics

These nights
Are slowly gonna drive me insane
Nothings gonna be the same
I've tried to put my worries aside

And now I've opened up a door
To this world of madness

In the middle of the night
(Ohoh – ohohoh…)
You've been talking sweet in your sleep
In the middle of the night
(Ohoh – ohohoh…)
You've been calling out his name
And I know that you love me
But honey, I'm in too deep
In the middle of the night

Tonight
I'm parked beneath a Texaco star
Wondering if I took it too far
I had to get it straight in my mind

Cause now I've opened up a door
To this world of madness

In the middle of the night
(Ohoh – ohohoh…)
You've been talking sweet in your sleep
In the middle of the night
(Ohoh – ohohoh…)
You've been calling out his name
And I know that you love me
But honey, I'm in too deep
In the middle of the night

I can't get him out of my mind
He's in my head
This man of your dreams
I can't even ask him to leave my girl alone
He's like an invisible shadow
Lying right between us at night
He's stayed too long
I want him gone gone gone
I want you calling me
When you're fast asleep

-------------------
by Jimmy Buffett, Will Jennings, Art Neville and Michael Utley

Chorus 1:
Middle of the night
Hold on till morning
We will see the light
Love is spawning
Middle of the night
Hold on forever
We will get it right
All together

When will we listen
When will we ever learn
Read all about it
This tide has got to turn

Chorus 1:

Old folks and babys
Crying in the storm
I try to tell them
Soon they'll be safe and warm

Chorus 1:

Bridge:
Lord let us out of this hall full of mirrors
Make it all clearer
Don't let is fall
In the middle of the night

Chorus 2:
Middle of the night
New voices calling
Saying it's alright
I'm not falling
Middle of the night
Halfway till morning
Middle of my life
New days dawning

In the middle of the night 80s song lyrics

Heard this song in a grocery store. Band kind of sounds like Journey. The song I’m looking for is not river of dreams. The lyrics I know are “looks so wrong feels so right” in the beginning and then “in the middle of the night” right before the chorus. The tone gets higher as they approach the chorus and it’s a high pitched male voice. Please help!

Not it but that’s a great song.

Blinded by the Light - Manfred Mann's Earth Band?

Not a perfect match but maybe

level 2

Another great song but no, not it.

Last Night - Toto?

2nd verse lyrics: Like a cat on a crown/In the middle of the night/Doesn't care if it's late/Doesn't matter if it's right/And I laugh when I think/I may never have knocked on your door

Are you sure about the "looks so wrong feels so right" part? It sounds like it could be a Silent Circle song. Do you happen to know what genre this might be?

level 2

I’m not positive those are the lyrics. It sounds like a rock/pop combo from the 80s most likely.

level 1

I'm sure it's not this, but could it be Sorted for Es and Whizz by Pulp? Features the line, "In the middle of the night, it feels so right, but then tomorrow morning..." And the singer, Jarvis Cocker can go pretty high pitched.

Probably not. But just in case.

That’s not it but thank you.
