How to clear game data on android

Every time you play games on your Android device, all of your game data, including progress, scores, and your user profile, is automatically saved and recorded. Here's how to manage it.

How to backup game data on Android?

The best way to backup your game data is by using Android's backup feature. Go to Settings and scroll down to Backup & reset. From here, make sure that Back up my data is On. Check the associated backup account and don't forget it. Also, toggle on the Automatic restore button.

Another great way to backup your data is through a third-party app. Most of these apps can backup all types of data and don't target games specifically. Examples of apps include Super Backup & Restore and Backup & Restore.

How to transfer game data on Android?

Here are different ways to transfer your game data:

  • Use Android's feature: following the steps from the previous section, make sure that the Back up my data feature is on, as well as the Automatic restore. Check the associated account (email address). To transfer your data to another Android phone, make sure that you associate the new device to the same account as the first device.
  • Copy and paste: open the File manager, go to Android, and then to Data. Find the folder that contains your game data. Next, you have to copy the OBB file. After that, you can download and install the game on the new phone, however, you have to paste the OBB file into the same directory before you launch the game. You can do so by sending it on your email or transferring it with Bluetooth, among other ways.
  • Third-party apps:  just like mentioned in the backup section, you can download a third-party app.

How to delete game data on Android?

How to recover game data on Android?

If you haven't manually backed up the data, then you can try the following options:

  • Associated accounts: log in to the Google Play Store (APK) with the same Google account that you used the first time. If the game uses a cloud to store the data, downloading it again should be enough.
  • Third-party app: if you've used a third-party app to backup your data, then you should follow the instructions of the app of your choice.

  1. How to clear game data on android

I recently uninstalled Dungeon Keeper so I could start a new game since I messed up with my first one, but when I installed it again my old game showed up. How do I completely remove all saved game data to start fresh?

  2. How to clear game data on android

You could install a file manager like ES File Explorer or Total Commander, then look for folders associated with Dungeon Keeper or Electronic Arts. Look at folders called "Android" or "data," both on Internal Storage as well as an external SD card (if you have one). You can delete folders associated with Dungeon Keeper, but be careful not to delete anything that is important to the system. To be safe, I'd probably be looking for folders specifically called "Dungeon Keeper" or something to that effect.

    As written at DK FAQ

Can I reset the game back to the beginning?
You cannot restart the game, but it is possible to create a new account through Game Center or Google Play, thus creating a new game that way.

I am trying to sort out an issue after the latest DK update for Android on Galaxy S3, now game keeps crashing after Battles, very frustating.

  5. How to clear game data on android

Wow! Almost gave up on this one. I had the problem with Clash Of Clans. Wanted to remove all data on google+ (not only my android!!).
This is the way it worked for me:
    1. go into your googleplay anroid account.
    2. Open left menu, on bottom there is "settings" (maybe called different in English, I have Spanish version). Click it
    3. menu point on bottom "Eliminate profile of google play".Click it and delete everything.

Hereby your google play account will clean up completely, i.e. delete all achievements on all games you have there. So, better use a slick googleplay with only the games you want to renew.
    Hope it helps
