Before you begin, it’s a good idea to start your engine and let it run for a bit. This will warm up the oil so it flows easily when you’re ready to drain it.

Contact UsHow often does a Harley need an oil change?We recommend oil change of a quality Harley-Davidson after 2,500 miles, after the initial inspection of 1,000 miles. The bike can be run up to 5,000 to 6,000 miles using Semi-synthetic oil. However, fully synthetic oil may be used for every 7,000 to 10,000 miles, as per Rips & Rides.
How long is oil good in a Harley?You should consult your owner's manual for specific answers to service-related questions, but in general, it's a good idea to perform an oil change every 2,000 miles to 5,000 miles if your bike uses synthetic oil.
