Get started

Open the Bank of America® Mobile Banking app. Sign in and tap "Transfer | Zelle®," and then follow the on-screen instructions.

You can also add the Bank of America widget to your home screen to link straight to your contacts, giving you fast, direct access to send and request money.

No matter where they bank, you'll know if your friends and family are already using Zelle® - just look for the purple z next to their contact.

How do I create a Zelle account?

To get started, log in to the U.S. Bank Mobile App or online banking and navigate to Send money with Zelle®. Select an email address or U.S. mobile number that friends will use to send you money, enter a verification code if you receive one, select the receiving account and select Enroll.

How do I register with Zelle to receive money?

If you have not yet enrolled your Zelle® profile, follow these simple steps: Click on the link provided in the payment notification. Select your bank or credit union. Follow the instructions provided on the page to enroll and receive your payment.

Do you need a bank account for Zelle?

Important: While you can typically use Zelle® with people at different banks, at least one person must have a bank in the Zelle Network in order to send and receive money.

Can you set up Zelle with any bank?

You can use Zelle at multiple banks, but you must have a different email address or U.S. mobile number linked to each account you enroll with Zelle. If you try to use the same email address or mobile phone number to enroll with Zelle at multiple banks, you will receive an error message.
