I wasn't able to do it, and had to enlist my husband each time. In short the button you push to loosen the strap gets caught under the base and is practically impossible to push down. You have to use all your body weight. Trust me I watched lots of YouTube videos to see if there was s simpler way. Finally even my husband couldn't get the base out of his car, and resorted to cutting the strap after 45 minutes of fighting it. We took a gamble on this base hoping it would be a little different and fortunately it is. We are so happy with this base both of us can get it in and out much easier. This base is way easier to install than the original base that came with the click connect car seat. Its staying there until my kid is out of a rear facing car seat LOL other than that it is easy to use.. because I haven’t moved it since. Are Graco SnugRide bases interchangeable?If you have a new SnugRide® SnugLock™ Infant Car Seat, it is compatible with any existing Click Connect™ bases, or strollers that you already own. SnugRide® SnugLock seats and bases are not compatible with any Graco® Classic Connect™ seats, bases, or strollers.
Do all Graco car seats fit any Graco base?Each seat has a different base, but some are interchangeable. Out of the three original bases, only the Classic Connect 30 seat can be used on either the Classic Connect 30 base or the Classic Connect 35 base. No other original seats/bases are interchangeable.
Does the SnugRide 30 and 35 use the same base?The SnugRide 30/35 Click Connect base is compatible with the SnugRide SnugFit 35 with the rebound bar. All of our current infant car seats are compatible with the current Graco bases.
