The staff is great, clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent TV reception, bathroom was superb! Stayed five days, an overall exceptional hotel. I wish all employees at chain hotels hire exceptional folks like this hotel. The breakfast is second to none, the attendant should be promoted and given her own parking space! Pros:Clean and New Basic Room was good for staying at the hotel for sleeping. We toured the city and beach area and were out most of the day. The rooms were nicely decorated and new. Garage is nice to use to go directly into the floor of my room, and was very easy to unload my suitcase. I did not see a luggage carrier to use. I liked having breakfast included. If you just need a good basic room with breakfast that is a decent price -this is a good choice. Cons:The location is Okay, but was farther out from the city then I would of liked. But for the money you sacrifice location.The Breakfast was larger then normal with more options and was above normal for hotels but not amazing. I did not like having to pay for parking, but just add the $12 fee to the total price to compare with other hotels. Parking is an issue downtown but not sure why had to add the cost of parking further out in a more suburban area. WiFi was okay for emails but had to pay extra for streaming WiFi. Pool was very small and only holds 19 people and very small space. I missed having a courtyard outside just to sit outside and relax. When you stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Savannah Midtown, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of River Street. For a workout, you can visit the 24-hour fitness centre, or go for a morning swim at the outdoor pool. Fellow travellers like the helpful staff and location. the hotel is nice and comfortable; cleaning needs to be more careful. We requested cleaning in our room and they did not do it, they changed us to a new room.
