"Great Location, Maintenance / Parking Issues." Overall Score4.0/ 5 In general our stay was pleasant. The room was ready when I arrived and the desk staff was pleasant and efficient. Generally the room was clean and maintained. The deadbolt on the door to the hallway did not work. The problem, the striker on the door frame was misaligned so the deadbolt would not slide into its provided opening so as to secure the deadbolt. Upon checkout, I informed the front desk. Also the bathroom was clean but was in need of a full scrubbing, especially the shower. One more towel rack for hand towels would be nice. I was surprised about a $12 parking fee for registered guests. It should be covered by Hilton if the guest chooses to use the attached parking garage. On last issue. The breakfast buffet cost of $15 for registered guests is much too high. I was offered no coupons or discount at check in. Maybe $10 for registered guests? The food was good and the service was excellent. Richard K. "Cancellation Policy" Overall Score1.0/ 5 Hotels cancellation policy is four days notice regardless if you made the reservation two days before. Ended up in the ICU on the day I was supposed to be there and when I called to try to get a cancellation was told I needed to provide medical paperwork from the bed in the ICU. Great customer service. They actually expected me to ask a nurse who is saving peoples lives to take time away to fax my medical paperwork "proving" my reason for cancellation. I'm quite sure that it is not only illegal to ask due to HIPAA laws but from a customer service standpoint down right inhumane. I offered to bring my paperwork after my scheduled reservation and was told it wouldn't matter. I will NEVER make a reservation through a Hilton hotel again. David S.
