Chilling adventures of sabrina season 5 hbo

After the end of the Netflix series, “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” there were rumors that HBO Max could be picking up the show, but it turns out, that’s not the case.

The show is a Netflix original and was canceled on July 8, 2020. There’s been four “parts” of the series and a fifth part isn’t going to be happening on any platform.

A WarnerMedia spokesperson told Decider that the show won’t be streaming on HBO Max, nor will there be more parts to come on the platform.

IMDbPro is to blame for the excitement of a possible additional part of the show. It stated that HBO Max was the distributor of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” but Netflix is the only confirmed distributor of the show, according to Decider.

There are 36 episodes fans can still watch via Netflix, to enjoy over and over again since there won’t ever be any more original episodes.

On a positive note, the show didn’t end on a cliffhanger, but many fans didn’t enjoy the ending. Some felt like it seemed rushed, and some thought it didn’t live up to the potential it could have.

Just finished watching season 4 of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix and I just wanted to say I hated the ending, that’s it...

[Warning: Spoilers for the "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" series finale are ahead!]

In the end, Sabrina Spellman ends up bleeding out and dying after saving the world from evil and The Void and finds herself in Heaven with Nick Scratch, so viewers are left wondering what exactly happened to her and the world she lived in.

To piggyback off Part Four and to really finish out the show, the creator had a special announcement after the news of the cancellation.

Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, who’s the creator of this show and The CW's “Riverdale,” tweeted out a photo on July 9, 2020 hinting at a comic book crossover of the two shows, promising "CAOS" would really go out with a bang.

Further information hasn’t been released since the tweet was posted.

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for the series finale of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Here's everything we know about Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 5 and the show's future after the release of season 4. The latest season of the Archie Comics-based horror series is was a game-changer for the latest iteration of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. After the events of season 3, in which Sabrina caused a time-travel paradox, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 had a lot of fallout to deal with. With two Sabrinas existing in the same timeline, it was only a matter of time before the universe would start to feel the ripple effects of Sabrina's time travel.

While the Fright Club and the rest of Sabrina's loved ones came together to resolve her actions, it came with a price. As they all tried to stop the Void that was inside of Sabrina, the show's heroine had to pay the ultimate price, and Kiernan Shipka's character was killed off in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series finale. In order to save the world, the show's titular character gave up her own life and, unfortunately, there was no magical post-credit scene to undo her death.

Despite it being one of the most popular shows on the platform, Netflix announced late last year that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina would be coming to an end with season 4. It's tragically a trend for Netflix shows to end after three or four seasons, and not even Sabrina could escape the curse. There were even plans for what Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 5 would have looked like. But despite a devastating series finale and no continuation for the TV show, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 5 is actually happening... sort of.

Right after Netflix announced the cancellation, Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa gave the fans some comforting news. Had the show been renewed for a fifth season, it would have finally seen Sabrina and Riverdale crossover with each other. This is something that fans have wanted to see ever since Sabrina was originally being developed for The CW. Now, it's actually going to happen, but as a comic book titled "Witch War." Whether or not it will feature The CW versions of the Riverdale characters has yet to be determined. So far, Archie Comics has yet to reveal when "Witch War" will release or how many issues it will consist of.

Given that magic hasn't been a present element on Riverdale, it's possible that this will be Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's own take on the characters that K.J. Apa, Camilla Mendes, Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, and Madelaine Petsch play in the CW show. This wouldn't be the first time that a genre series has continued in comic form, with shows like Smallville and Buffy the Vampire Slayer having done that with great success. So, as sad as it is to see Chilling Adventures of Sabrina end its TV run, at least a fifth season is coming in a comic format that includes the long-awaited Riverdale crossover.

That's especially true now that Keirnan Shipka is officially set to reprise the role of Sabrina as part of Riverdale season 6, finally giving fans of both shows the live-action crossover producers have been teasing for years. Sabrina will appear in Riverdale season 6, episode 4, appropriately entitled "The Witching Hour." How and why Sabrina makes her way to Riverdale in-universe isn't yet public knowledge, but it's quite possible the Sabrina/Riverdale crossover comic books might provide some type of explanation. Considering how excited many fans have been since the announcement of Sabrina's appearance on Riverdale though, it's hard to imagine must fuss being made about exactly how it's ultimately accomplished. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrinamay be over, but Sabrina Spellman herself is still going strong.
