"Couldn't drive away quick enough." Overall Score1.0/ 5 Got our key, went to the room, walked up the crumbling concrete steps, opened the door and was overpowered by the stench of cigarette smoke. The room was as clean as it could be possibly with 1960's stained, damaged, broken furniture. The bed cover had black stains on it, the metal upright 1970's chair with a cushion was stained and the back was broken. It reminded me of a scene in movies where the drunk man sat with is pants down while a prostitute performed oral sex on him. We did not touch anything, afraid of bed bugs. We only had one bag as we were driving through only needed a place to sleep before getting back on the road for a Rolling Stones concert. The table in the room also 1960's furniture was stained, broken and sticky. In the short time we were there, taking this all in (maybe 15 minutes) our neighbor's must have been having a party as about 20 hispanics walked in an out of the room next door, carrying large pots with cleaning supplies in them. reminded me of the A and E show, Breaking Bad, thought perhaps they had a meth lab there? As we were leaving the parking lot there were two cop cars and two police and EMS. I had overheard when I checked in the cleaning lady had a man in a room she was cleaning who wouldn't get out of the chair in the room. Either he died from an overdose or from the stench in the room from 60 years of smokers. This was a horrible experience at "America's Best" in Goodlettesville Tenn. We will never ever ever be back. We drove through the night after the concert and were glad to be back in our bed at home. Mary L.
