Negative Reviews

negative:

Four-legged guests can sometimes be heard

Some light sleepers may be disrupted as unfortunately, a very small number of guests were disturbed by barking dogs in other rooms at La Quinta Inn & Suites NE Long Beach/Cypress, formerly known as La Quinta Inn & Suites Hawaiian Gardens.

negative:

The area is a little run-down

Although guests enjoy being close to many conveniences in Hawaiian Gardens, some mention that they don't feel comfortable in the area itself because it's a little run-down.

negative:

Perhaps the pillows could be changed

A minor issue for a very small number of guests is the pillows, which some found a little uncomfortable and not in-keeping with the comfort that they experienced in other areas of the hotel.

I usually stay at this hotel each time I visit Mobile. The property is not the same as it was a couple of years ago. I understand that they want to be pet friendly but you should have rooms designated for that. I don’t have dogs. If not, they should be thoroughly cleaned. I shouldn’t have to stay in a room with chewed up carpet and floors that are so dirty that my kids could not walk around on the carpet without shoes bc their feet/socks were filthy. The room had a horrible smell, light bulbs missing, the phone was broken when I tried to call the front desk to complain. There was also a roach crawling across the phone as I went to pick up the receiver. Like I said this is usually my family’s first choice when we visit but this was definitely my last time staying here.

First time staying at a LaQuinta and I was pleasantly surprised. I would stay again. The only problem I noted was they ran out of biscuits for breakfast. I am a female with two teenage girls and felt perfectly safe.

The location was great! The condition of the rooms were deplorable. The first room had mold everywhere and ceiling particles on the the bed from the sagging, leaking ceiling. In the second room, there was sitting water and rust in the microwave, hair in the fridge, rust on the outside of the fridge, exposed hair in the shower drain, paint peeling in in room, paint peeling in the bathroom, holes in the wall, and noticeable patches in the walls.

Fleas in Rooms!

We checked out immediately upon checking in due to fleas in the room. Both my children started itching the moment we walked in the room and my wife found multiple fleas on our youngest child.
