  1. Recently my text messages are showing red draft next to them. I've been texting to these numbers but it will still say draft next to the person's names. It seems like a glitch. I don't want to keep deleting the text conversations with my contacts. Does anyone know how to clear this glitch?

  2. If you leave anything in the text bar and exit it will leave it as a draft , so clear text bar out, or force close the app.I'll leave a link to register so you can communicate here , as a guest account you can't.//forums.androidcentral.com/sh...d.php?t=409154

  3. Thanks. I force closed the app. It has said draft on 2 different contacts- texts for months now. I've been sending messages throughout that time and the draft notification won't disappear. Now this week it said draft on a 3rd contact. I was curious if this is happening to any other galaxy s8+ users. My phone is at the 2 year mark and that seems to be when glitches start happening. I allow the monthly updates.

Then you'll need to try this way , long press the app ,tap info then go to storage and clear data, cache and force stop it ...if everything sync and back up you won't experience data loss doing this

  9. A draft is an unsent message. Normally it is created when you exit the app without deleting the message and without sending it.

The easy way to discard the draft is to go to that conversation thread and delete the draft message.
How exactly to do that will depend on which SMS app you are using.

    Had a similar/same issue.

#1) "Draft" would appear in MESSAGES APP preview (image-1)...

#2) But there is NO draft message to delete (image-2)...

#3) I was unable to remove the "draft"notification using the typical method of deleting any & everything from the (Enter Message) field. Even though the "Draft" notification remained in the preview, the MESSAGES APP continued to allow sending & receiving messages without issue.

In this particular case, the deletion of a days old MMS message that was left undelivered was the solution to removing the "Draft" notification. (image-3).

    Hopefully this will help.
