Hello ladies, it's now been 4 weeks since my miscarriage bleeding started. I bled for 2 weeks in total. I've heard you're period is usually 4-6 weeks after a miscarriage so I'm just wondering when everyone else who's been through a heartbreaking miscarriage got theirs? I was hoping and praying to get pregnant straight after the miscarriage. We started having unprotected sex right after the pregnancy tests turned negative. I have been tracking ovulation every day since I stopped bleeding but have just had faint lines on the ovulation test every single day, so I don't think I have ovulated 😞 also I'm having period like cramps and a super bloated belly so guess it's just a waiting game xx

I’m currently going through my first ‘proper’ period after miscarriage (eg a period that came after ovulation, confirmed by a blood test).
The internet warned this period might be different but it’s been so long!! I spotted for a few days before and have now been bleeding for 9 days. It’s not that heavy or clot filled but I’m unsure at what point I should be concerned.
Doctor no good as only response is to order a scan, which has a 8 week wait time on the NHS in my area.
Could people share their first period post miscarriage stories to provide reassurance?
My miscarriage was ectopic if that makes a difference!

I have just had surgical management for a missed miscarriage at ten weeks. The consultant that I spoke to before the op said that the conventional advice is to wait to have one menstrual period before ttc, but that there was no harm in trying before that, and if a baby is going to stick before that, it will. He didn't think that it made any difference to chances of early conception whether you had had a naturally occurring miscarriage or a surgically managed one. So my question is, has anyone managed to get pregnant immediately after a miscarriage, without having a period first? This miscarriage comes less than a year after a full term neonatal loss for us, so we are really desperate to have a successful pregnancy as soon as possible.
