Phishers and scammers all want a piece of someone else’s money. Today’s scam is no different. The scam lures the victim to a promising job opportunity: low hours and high pay. The scammer collects personal information from you and sends you a check. This is where the scam occurs. The scammer overpays you with the check. They ask for some money back and in a couple days, your bank will notify you that the check bounced. The scam is below.

This email was from Dr. Ramsey David Alfred (). He wrote:Job Description!
Hi Victim,

My name is Dr. Ramsey David Alfred, and I work as a clinical counselor for the Department of Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES). I provide individual and group therapy, coaching, assessment, and academic screenings to DRES-registered students with disabilities (physical, chronic, psychiatric, and invisible). A large proportion of the students served by the mental health unit have psychiatric disabilities or co-morbid psychiatric disabilities and require mental health support to be successful at university. Furthermore, many University students with academic difficulties and no prior diagnosis are seen and assessed as part of the academic screening and assessment process.

You have got this email because you have accepted an invitation from the University Office for Students with Disabilities to work with me as we assist. Students with disabilities are upset by ignorance and a lack of assistance, yet as my temporary personal assistant… You will be paid in advance for any duties and purchases completed on my behalf, and some of my personal letters and mail will be forwarded to your home or a local post office for you to pick up at your leisure. When I arrive, we will consider the idea of making this a long-term position if I am impressed with your services while I am gone. My arrival is slated for the latter week of October 2022.

This is a pretty basic job; it just takes an hour a day, three times a week, and pays $370 each week. I needed a PA to help me get things in order before I arrived, such as executing jobs for me, purchasing on my behalf, shipping and receiving letters, and so on. I am unable to meet for an interview since I am now in Australia assisting impaired pupils. To receive mail, Please respond with the information listed below:
