Jan 15, 2019 Newby here - I really need some help! My wife and I bought a 2011 T&C with about 118,000 miles on it about 2 months ago. It ran very well until we were starting a long trip for a vacation just before Christmas (of course). Cruising along at about 75-80 with no problems, all of a sudden the engine starts to race. Long story short, the
tranny wouldn't go above 3rd gear (limp home mode), and we have to replace it. QUESTION: how many quarts of the Chrysler ATF+4 does a new transmission take? I have looked high and low on line (no manual in the vehicle), and cannot find an answer to this seemingly simple question. I'm trying to buy the fluid and filter so as to save on expenses (a good friend is doing the tranny replacement). Thanks for any help!

Scamsoil chart might be correct (?), but Don't use Scamsoil in your transmission.

I wouldn't use Amsoil either, not because it isn't a great oil but it is too expensive .... poor "value" See:

I just posted that because it was one of the first websites that came up when I simply Googled "2011 T&C Tranny fluid capacity "

product for our vehicles. Let's try not to confuse new members.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I ended up getting 9 quarts of ATF+4 at Wallyworld for $4.72 each (vs. $2 more at O'Reilly's and having to rob Fort Knox for Amsoil). Will pick up the van later today, heard that it is running just fine.

Welcome to the site ancesthntr. See the 1994 van in my signature :thumb:
I have used Walmart (Supertech) ATF+4 in my Chrysler vehicles for many years with great success.
